Welcome to GemNEyes, a designer line of eyeglass holders that can be worn alone as a necklace and no one would ever know that they serve another purpose. I strive for diversity and uniqueness in almost every piece so no two pieces are exactly alike.

My name is Karen and I am the designer behind GemNEyes. Being the vain baby boomer that I am, I am going into my senior years kicking and screaming, but in style.

MY TRADEMARK is the DANGLING EMBELLISHMENT found hanging in the middle of my rings. I am the ORIGINATOR of this design.

GemNEyes are made with semi-precious gemstones, sterling silver or plated findings and the highest quality of workmanship. Each bead is hand-wrapped and strung together so that they will never pull apart. My trademark is the extra little embellishment hanging in the center of each ring of which I was the originator. Most of my pieces are one-of-a-kind and therefore cannot always be reproduced. Along with reading glasses, they are a great place to park sunglasses as well.

Each piece is packaged in its own unique container.

Package arrived in cute tin case. The lanyard looks even prettier on- like wearing a very pretty long necklace. Love the dark color one I got- great workmanship. I like the clasp around the neck- doesn’t pull on hair & makes it easy to take on & off. LOVE IT

Item was exactly as pictured and looks very high quality relative to the price - I wanted something in gold that would match gold jewelry but that wasn't real gold in cost! It also arrived very nicely packaged in a reusable tin. Only complaint was I wish it was a hair longer to be a little easier to pass over my head. Would definitely buy another one from this seller.

The Birth of a Lanyard That Thinks It's A Necklace

Never at a loss for words, I struggled with a bio. I will start with my love, love, love of jewelry. I love color, sparkles and pieces that are really, really unique. My adoration lead me to a bead stringing class and I was totally hooked. Most of what I have learned was self taught; countless hours experimenting with colors, materials and styles. I have been making jewelry for 10 years and I think that I have now finally established my own personal "look".

GemNEyes was born after countless hours of searching for glasses. There were other eyeglass holders on the market, but I wanted something that would look classy if worn alone. I discovered that by adding beads in and around the eyeglass ring you could actually have a lanyard that looked nice all on its own. The concept evolved from there and turned into "dress up" versions of everyday lanyards. The name came to me on one of my sleepless nights. I developed the logo and had my cousin, who is a graphic artist, draw it out for me. Having a patent I was familiar with the patent and trademark process so I proceeded to trademark the name. I am now the proud owner of the trademarked GemNEyes. MY TRADEMARK STARTED WITH THE EXTRA LITTLE EMBELLISHMENT HANGING IN THE CENTER OF EACH RING OF WHICH I WAS THE ORIGINATOR. Most of my pieces are one-of-a-kind and therefore cannot always be reproduced.

As for the rest of my story, I have spent the majority of my life and career in Sales and Sales Management working in the Wireless industry, Tiring of "Corporate America" I decided to spread my wings and turn my hobby into a business. By day I am now a Marketing Director for a Telecommunications company and by night my brain is working overtime on designs. My night job is much more fun.

I hope you enjoy your time spent in my shop and that you find something that has your name on it. The feedback I get from my customers keeps me inspired and motivated and therefore I am adding new pieces often. Here are my creations for those that refuse to "go quietly into that good night".
